摘要： A protective sleeve assembly for elongate members has a tubular wall with an inner surface providing a cavity extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends of the sleeve. The assembly includes at least one closure member laid-in with the tubular wall, such that at least a portion of the closure member within the tubular wall is moveable relative to the tubular wall. At least a portion of the wall inner surface is constricted toward the longitudinal axis to engage the elongate member upon pulling the closure member outwardly from the wall. The sleeve is expandable radially outwardly from the longitudinal axis to allow relative axial movement between the sleeve assembly and the elongate member by pulling the sleeve wall radially outwardly.

摘要： A method and assembly for protecting a device connected to a wiring harness is disclosed. The assembly includes a protective shield having a bore for receiving the device and a positioning device. An elongated wiring harness extends from the device being protected and through the bore of the protective shield. The positioning device is formed having a band that surrounds a central space. At least one flexible, resilient finger extends radially inwardly from the band into the central space. At least one of the fingers forcibly engages the harness sleeve to maintain the positioning device and the protective shield in a predetermined protection position along the harness sleeve at least partially surrounding the device being protected.

A method for the data providers to use the product identifiers is also disclosed, and includes receiving a request from a consumer including a unique product identifier and data indicative of the type of information requested, retrieving the type of requested information associated with the particular product from a database, and transmitting the retrieved information to the consumer. The data provider includes a database associating the product identifiers with information corresponding thereto, and means for the providing the associated information to the requesting consumer.
