摘要： A polyphenylene ether resin composition which comprises: (A) from 30 to 95% by weight of a modified polyphenylene ether resin entirely or partially modified with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a functional derivative thereof; (B) from 2 to 60% by weight of at least one of a polystyrene and a rubber-modified polystyrene; and (C) from 3 to 40% by weight of a styrene/acrylonitrile copolymer having an acrylonitrile ingredient content of from not less than 7% by weight to less than 11% by weight. The resin composition optionally contains (D) from 1 to 30 parts by weight of a phosphoric acid ester compound; and (E) from 1 to 100 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, each per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of said components (A), (B) and (C). Also disclosed is a molded article prepared from the resin composition.

摘要： A power converter apparatus in which a switched capacitor circuit includes one or more sets of cells connected in series each having a capacitor as a voltage supply source and a bridge circuit for inverting the polarities of the capacitor, the switched capacitor circuit is connected to a load, there is provided a means for parallelly charging the capacitors of the cells with a D.C. voltage source, any number of the cell capacitors are connected in series with any polarity to control supply of an A.C. output to the load. Whereby the power converter apparatus using the switched capacitor circuit can supply A.C. power with less distortion to the load without increasing the withstand voltage of the switching elements and without any need for provision of large inductors or capacitors.

摘要： A discharge lamp lighting device employs first and second series circuits, each series circuit including two switching elements and a connecting point located therebetween. The first and second series circuits are both connected in parallel across a DC voltage source. A load circuit, including a discharge lamp, is connected between the two connecting points in the first and second series circuits. ON/OFF timing of the switching elements in the first series circuit varies between in-phase and 180 degrees out-of-phase from ON/OFF timing of the switching elements in the second series circuit. The ON period ratio of the switching elements is different in at least one of the first and second series circuits. The device allows dimming of the discharge lamp over a wide range, and lighting of the discharge lamp with a small supplied power.

摘要： An automatic vending machine having a control circuit for controlling the quantity of ice in an ice storage chamber. A signal generating circuit is provided for producing digital signals in response to ice being supplied to, and discharged from, the ice storage chamber. A counting circuit comprising an up-down counter receives the digital signals and adjusts a count value which represents the quantity of ice in the storage chamber. The counter produces an output signal when sufficient ice is available to supply vending needs, but not when the ice quantity falls below a predetermined value. The vending operation is suspended when the counter output signal is not produced.
