摘要： A system for anchoring a pedicle screw in a patient's vertebra uses a pedicle screw having a threaded portion sinkable in the vertebral arch. The space between the threaded portion and cortical edge layer of the pedicle is at least partially filled by a spacer that enables an all-round support of the threaded portion at the cortical edge layer. A kit includes a pedicle screw and a spacer which at least partially fills the space between the threaded portion and cortical edge layer of the pedicle. A spacer has an essentially oval cross-section for form-locking fit in a corresponding axial recess sunk in the pedicle and having an axial through-hole to accommodate the threaded portion of a pedicle screw, as well as a spacer in the form of an essentially cylindrical pedicle augmentation in the form of a bone screw or a bone bracket.

摘要： A surgical instrument includes an elongated shaft, with components arranged in the shaft. The elongated shaft is slightly curved. Arranged on a proximal end of the surgical instrument is an actuation device in the form of a lever mechanism and rotary knob. A force transmission element in the form of a plastic hollow section is arranged in the shaft. The force transmission element is a plastic section designed for transmitting compressive and tensile forces. The plastic section is provided with a plurality of longitudinally extending channels. Therefore, the plastic section does not only serve as a force transmission element, but electric lines and a pull-push shaft may additionally extend in the channels. The longitudinal channels may be used for supplying cooling media for the electrodes or the thermo-fusion device or for feeding agents promoting wound repair. The plastic section is electrically insulating, so that the risk of short-circuits is reduced.

The sterile container has a bottom wall, a side wall and a lid which, in a closed position of the sterile container, has a lid rim which engages over a free rim arranged on a side of the side wall that faces away from the bottom wall. The projection element projects from the side wall in the direction of an outside of the sterile container at least as far as the lid rim and is located at a shorter distance from the bottom wall than the lid rim. The side wall, in a wall area between the at least one projection element and the free rim, does not protrude in the direction of a center of the sterile container over the side wall.
