摘要： An imaging system for producing multicolor images of a scanned subject includes a plurality of detector assemblies. Each of the detector assemblies is sensitive to a specific color. Typically, red, green, and blue detector assemblies are employed for converting images in the primary colors to the desired output image. Each detector assembly includes multiple rows of CCD detector elements positioned in registration with each other for a two-dimensional array of the detectors. Pixels of the subject are viewed repetitively by the successive detectors of the column to provide for an integrated detector signal. The number of detector elements in each column is varied in accordance with the color sensed by each assembly to provide for greater integration of low-intensity portions of the spectrum. This compensates the output image for variations in filter attenuation, lamp illumination, and CCD sensitivity as a function of light wavelength. The mode of compensation preserves a high signal-to-noise ratio.

摘要： A filter is formed on a substrate, such as a solid state imager, by providing successively on the substrate a layer of an absorber material, a layer of a barrier material, and a layer of a photoresist material. The photoresist is patternwise exposed and developed, thereby baring regions of the barrier layer underlying selected regions of the photoresist layer. The coated substrate is reactive ion etched under a first set of etching conditions to etch away the bared regions of the barrier layer and to bare but not substantially etch the underlying regions of the absorber layer, and then reactive ion etched under a second set of etching conditions, thereby etching away the remaining regions of the photoresist layer and the bared regions of the absorber layer, so forming a filter on the substrate. To form multi-colored filters, the process may be repeated with a different dye, or additional dyes may be deposited by other processes, such as that described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,808,501.

摘要： An exposure control system for a photographic camera employing a scanning type shutter that includes a pair of cooperating shutter blade elements automatically compensates for exposure altering variations in shutter blade element speed that may occur from one exposure interval to another. The exposure control system incudes an encoder to provide information on the actual position of the shutter blade elements as a function of time during an exposure cycle. The encoder generates a series of pulses representative of relative blade element position as the blades are moved during the exposure cycle. The time between these pulses is measured and directly converted into a signal representative of shutter blade element speed or velocity. This shutter blade speed signal is then employed to alter the duration of an exposure interval to compensate for any shutter blade element speed variations.
