摘要： The present invention relates to a method of producing three-dimensional knits. In accordance with the invention narrowing the loops is done by loops covering a partial area of the needle bed being transferred to needles arranged nearer to the middle of the knit and subsequently knitting further continued, and widening the loops is done by loops covering a partial area of the needle bed being transferred to needles arranged remote from the middle of the knit and subsequently knitting further continued. As an alternative to this, needles may be rendered inactive in a partial area of the needle bed over at least one course and subsequently reactivated.

摘要： For preventing holes from occurrence at an internally widened area of a rib knitted fabric, at the area, two needles, one on the front needle bed, the other on the back needle bed, are made empty. Then, a stitch held by an adjacent needle to one of the two empty needles is transferred to the other of the two empty needles so that two continuous needles on one needle bed are made empty and that the former empty needle on the other needle bed is provided with the transferred stitch. A yarn feeder is made to move over the area while feeding yarn till one needle before the two empty needles, then back above the area while feeding the two empty needles and an intermediate opposing bed needle, and move over the area while feeding yarn from the subsequent needles after the two former empty needles.

In the knitting method in which after a tubular body, into which the first body and the second body are overlapped, and right and left tubular sleeves are knitted from hems to armpits, the sleeves and the body are joined, the first and second bodies and the right and left sleeves are knitted into one tubular body; a neckline is formed in at least one of the first and second bodies; the sleeves are shifted toward the body so that the body and the sleeves are joined; after completion of the course knitting for the sleeves and the first body, the remaining second body is knitted up to a shoulder line, during which the second body is shifted toward the sleeve and the second body and the sleeve which is formed on the same side with respect to the shoulder line are joined in such a manner that the stitches of the second body can appear on the front side of the stitches of the sleeve; the second body is sequentially knitted beyond the shoulder line, during which the second body is shifted toward the neckline and the second body and the sleeve which is formed on the opposite side to the joined sleeve with respect to the shoulder line are joined; and then the first body and the second body are joined at the shoulder.

The knitting progresses from one of the tubular knitted fabrics (3) to the other tubular knitted fabric (5) to join together the tubular fabrics, during which a yarn is fed to needles holding loops formed one stitch backward with respect to a join processing direction to provide a tubular knitting for the needles, followed by shifting the yarn to needles holding loops formed two stitches forward with respect to the join processing direction, to provide the same tubular knitting as above for the needles, the knitting steps being repeatedly performed.

In this joining knit, whenever a predetermined number of courses of the body 3 is knitted, the sleeves 5, 7 are shifted to the body 3 to allow the stitches of the last course of the sleeves 5, 7 to be laid over the stitches of the body 3, and as such can produce knitwear 1 having a good-looking joining line at any selective sleeve attaching angle.
