摘要： A spinning machine for the doubling or stretching of fiber bands with a rolling section having lower rolls which are secured in journal blocks, and wherein the upper rolls may be also secured on said journal blocks with pressure means for the loading of said upper rolls, it is proposed that the pivoting axis of the pressure arm for the placement of the pressure means to the upper rolls be arranged in such a way that, when observed in the running direction of the fiber band, said axis lies behind the rolling section. Advantageously, what is achieved thereby, is that the spinning machine can be maintained in a considerably simpler and quicker manner. Following the upward pivoting of the pressure arm, the entire area of the rolling section becomes freely accessible. The pivoting geometry of the pressure arm can be so varied, that the upper rolls can be easily restored into the guides on the journal blocks of the lower rolls.

摘要： For piecing a thread in an open-end spinning apparatus having a fibre collection surface, a sliver is supplied to the clothing of an opening cylinder and opened thereby into fibres and is supplied in this form to the fibre collection surface. There, the fibres are incorporated into the end of a returned thread which is then drawn off continuously. During this, the leading end of the sliver, forming a tuft, is supplied for piecing to the opening cylinder, at a penetration depth which is greater than the penetration depth after piecing, whereas piecing is carried out in a manner conventional per se, matched to a reduction in the penetration depth. This reduction in the penetration depth is carried out suddenly in order to counter thick points in the joint. To carry out the process, a penetration depth alteration apparatus is provided which is in controlled connection with a control apparatus.

The textile drafting apparatus includes a force-applying member for applying a downward roller nip force through the carrier member to the rollers. The force-applying member is intermediately transversely offset from the longitudinal center line of the carrier member for permitting access to attaching studs for sliding of the attaching studs in longitudinal slots on the carrier member to adjust the position of the upper drafting rollers in the carrier member. According to another aspect of the present invention, the textile drafting apparatus includes a template device for positioning an upper drafting roller at a predetermined spacing from the pivoting shaft of the carrier member.
