摘要： A rotatable frame holder coupled to a Langstroth style rectangular honey frame for spinning honey from the frame into a bucket or similar container. The frame holder comprises a continuous frame holder body with a horizontal channel configured to slidingly mate with a side frame member of the honey frame in a vertical orientation, with a vertical locking engagement with inner edges of the side frame member. The other end of the frame hangs unsupported at a location spaced below the frame holder body. The frame holder includes a drive connection on an upper side, capable of being attached to a rotating drive such as a cordless drill, and the lower unsupported end of the frame can be lowered into a bucket to be spun by the drill.

摘要： A compressor for separating honey from honeycomb cappings in which two side-by-side endless conveyors converge and form a trough through which cappings are progressively compressed from inlet and to discharge end along the fixed bottom of the trough by means of said conveyors and a short length of auger mounted in the inlet end of the trough. The trough is pivoted about its midpoint to produce an imbalance which stops the compressor when empty. Honey is extruded through louvered openings impressed in the conveyors. The louvers are inwardly directed to drag the cappings along the trough during compression.

摘要： A swing-type centrifugal extractor has a main body rotatable about a vertical axis which is pivotally attached to a plurality of platforms which, in the quiescent state, depend from their pivotal attachment to the body. A honey pan having an inner peripheral edge spaced above the pan bottom receives a capping catcher which includes a mesh body held within a solid frame. A fixed frame super is uncapped by severing the cappings from the super combs in a manner which allows the cappings to remain adhered to the combs by viscosity of honey. The fixed frame super is rested upon the capping catcher in the pan and the pan rests upon one of the extractor platforms. The extractor body is rotated and the platforms extend radially outward. Centrifugal force causes the severed cappings to slide from the combs and rest in the capping catcher where most of the honey is drained from them. The centrifugal force also causes extraction of honey from the honey combs. Various attachments are also provided for adapting the pan to use with movable frame combs to facilitate extraction of honey from these also.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and related apparatus for increasing the extraction efficiency of honey from honeycomb. Capped honeycomb is placed in a vessel and heated air is flowed past the honeycomb and in contact with the honeycomb. Heat is transferred from the flowing air to the honeycomb by forced convection. The honeycomb is removed from the vessel after the honeycomb reaches a desired end temperature. The heated honeycomb is then removed from the vessel, uncapped, and honey is extracted from the uncapped honeycomb. Heating the honeycomb by forced convection heats the capped honeycomb quickly to reduce the viscosity of the honey in the honeycomb for faster extraction, and enables recovery of honey from honeycombs having crystallized honey.
