    • In a radio telephone system and a call charging method used in this radio telephone system, when a user of a radio telephone issues a telephone call to a public telephone network by utilizing a radio controller installed in a PBX employed on the premises of a company to which the telephone user does not belong, the PBX reports both of terminal number information of the radio telephone and call account information for charging the call account to the terminal to the public telephone network, in case that a telephone call is demanded. When the information is received, the public telephone network charges the call account to the radio telephone. If the information is not transmitted from the PBX to the public telephone network, the call account is charged to the call originating line of the PBX.

    • A method of error correction comprises error correction coding processing and interleaving and de-interleaving processings for digital subcoding data (as opposed to main data) in subchannels (as opposed to the main channel) to be transmitted. Apparatus is provided comprising means for performing those processings. The method comprises the steps of dividing digital subcoding data in one PACKET into a plurality of PACKs; adding a first redundant code for error detection or error correction to each of the PACKs; and interleaving the digital subcoding data in each of the PACKs and the first redundant code; whereby the interleaved data is transmitted together with frame sync signals and main data. The data in the subchannels is coded and interleaved and then recorded so that the distances between the data are maximized. Therefore, if errors should occur, the interpolation can be properly done, thereby improving the error correcting ability without requiring complicated error correction circuit or large buffer memory such as those required for the data in the main channel.

    • A private network system including mobile radio telephones is able to originate connection and terminate connection even when any of the mobile radio telephones are moved from one exchange where the position of the mobile radio telephone is registered to another exchange. In the private network system which comprises a plurality of exchanges for switching telephones, each of the exchanges includes one or more radio connection controllers for radio communicating with mobile radio telephones, and a plurality of mobile radio telephones connected through the radio connection controller to the exchange for switching, the radio connection controller has an area in which the controller can communicate with the mobile radio telephones. Each of the mobile radio telephones has detection means for detecting movement thereof from the area to a different area and position registration means, upon movement of the telephone to the different area, for reporting the position thereof to the home exchange through the radio connection controller, and each of the exchanges has determination means for determining whether or not a mobile radio telephone has moved from an area of radio connection controller contained in a different exchange and transfer means for transferring a terminating call to the different exchange when appropriate.

    • A speech path switching method for use in a radiotelephone system suitable for a private branch radio exchange system. In the radiotelephone system, portable-type cordless telephone sets are respectively connected via intrasystem base stations each disposed in an associated location in the system and each provided with a radio transmission and reception function, a portable-type cordless telephone set in use for a speech transmits, in order to change a combination with a base station, a speech path switch request through a manual operation or in an automatic manner to available base stations existing in the proximity of the base station currently being linked with the telephone set. Each base station sequentially sends a response signal in reply to the speech path switch request such that the telephone set monitors a reception level of the response signal to determine as a switch destination a base station of which the response signal develops a highest reception level as a result of the monitor operation. The telephone set instructs a selective initiation of the base station as the switch destination via the base station having been linked with the telephone set. Thereafter, a speech is carried out via a speech path in a combination of the telephone set and the destination base station. With the provision above, a speech path having a high reception level can be manually or automatically re-established at a desired point of time in a short period of time.
