    • Provided are a method and apparatus for advertising a service in a personalized manner in a next-generation communication network. The method includes: receiving new service registration information, which indicates that a new service has been registered, from a service registration server; mapping the received new service registration information to service profiles included in pre-stored subscription information of a plurality of subscriber terminals and selecting a subscriber terminal which is related to the new service registration information; and identifying whether the selected subscriber terminal is subscribed to a new service notification event of a home subscriber server and sending advertising information of the new service, which is related to the new service registration information, to the selected subscriber terminal with reference to subscription information of the selected subscriber terminal.

    • An image forming apparatus and method are provided. The image forming apparatus includes a communication interface unit that receives printing data, an image forming unit that performs an ordinary printing to form an image on printing paper based on the printing data, a paper supplying unit that provides the printing paper to the image forming unit along with a paper supplying route, a determination unit that determines whether a functional printing may be performed on the paper supplying route in an interval section between sheets of the printing paper, and a controller that controls the image forming unit to perform a functional printing, wherein the ordinary printing is a printing performed on one or more sheets of printing paper, and the functional printing is a printing performed in an interval section between the sheets of printing paper.

    • A color alignment adjustment method and apparatus for adjusting the color alignment of a color image forming apparatus by using patterns formed on a middle transfer belt or a photosensitive body of the color image forming apparatus are provided. The color alignment adjustment apparatus includes a sensor which radiates light onto the patterns, detects the amount of light reflected from the patterns, and outputs a signal based on the detection result, a memory which stores pattern information regarding the patterns, a variation detection unit which detects a plurality of portions of the output signal of the sensor that match the pattern information stored in the memory and calculates variations in the locations of a plurality of colors that can be printed by the image forming apparatus based on the locations of the detected portions of the output signal of the sensor and a print location adjustment unit which adjusts the locations of the colors based on the calculated variations.
