    • A camera having an electronic image pickup element and a distance-measuring circuit that uses light signals obtained from light images of a plurality of distance-measuring areas set in a photographing screen to select a main subject and measure the distance to the subject. The camera has a focusing component, operating when the position of the main subject cannot be identified by the distance-measuring circuit, to divide the photographing screen into a plurality of areas to identify an area in which the main subject is present on the basis of a luminance distribution obtained from the areas other than those overlapping the distance-measuring areas. The focusing component focuses a photographing lens on the position of the highest contrast signal while scanning the lens position of the photographing lens.

    • A camera according to the present invention comprises: an imaging section converting an object image into image data; a storage section storing still image data of a still image obtained by the imaging section, thumbnail image data of the still image, and moving image data of a moving image which has been photographed at timing at least either before or after photographing of the still image; a display section performing display of one or more thumbnail views according to the thumbnail image data; and a display control section, when one of the thumbnail views is designated in the thumbnail view display, performing display of the still image on the display section according to the still image data corresponding to the designated thumbnail view after having performed display of the moving image according to the moving image data corresponding to the designated thumbnail view stored in the storage section.

    • A display apparatus including a display unit that displays moving images corresponding to moving image data consisting of multiple two-dimensional images and three dimensional images that are sequentially generated chronologically. A touch panel is provided on a display screen of the display unit and receives an input of a signal corresponding to a position touched by an external object. A setting unit sets a subject contained in the moving images and specified according to an input signal received by the touch panel. A motion detector detects motion of the subject, which is set by the subject setting unit, on the basis of successive two of the two-dimensional images or the three dimensional images that are generated chronologically. A display controller causes the display unit to display the moving images as the three-dimensional images.
