摘要： A wine or beer keg dispenser spout has a curved exterior bead terminating in an outward-downward slanted surface, then a cylindrical surface and a horizontal shoulder below the latter. A cap for the spout is of plastic having a top disk and a depending skirt which fits over and snugly engages the exterior of the spout, the lower edge of the skirt resting on the shoulder. A tab extends below the skirt at an acute angle to the bottom edge. The skirt is weakened in a score line which is an upper extension of the top edge of the tab and continues to a terminus above the bead. Pulling the tab tears the skirt along the score line to permit separation of the cap.

摘要： To prevent tampering with the contents of containers, the neck of the container is formed with external beads with grooves under the lower surfaces of the beads. The cap has an outer skirt formed with internal beads which lock under the shoulders of the neck beads. Preferably, the cap has an inner skirt which seals against the inside of the container neck. To remove the cap, a score-line is formed extending upward from the bottom edge of the skirt and merging with a horizontal scoreline located between the two internal beads, so that one may grip a tab on the lower edge of the skirt, pull upward on the substantially vertically section and thence horizontally around the horizontal scoreline. Unless the skirt is thus torn, it cannot be removed from the neck and tearing of the skirt indicates tampering with the contents of the container. In the present invention, instead of the horizontal scoreline continuing around the periphery of the cap, it terminates at an unscored area which connects the upper and lower portions of the skirt. The lower portion of the skirt may be gripped by the user as an auxiliary means of removing the cap. The primary means of removing the cap is a flange which extends outward from the top of the cap skirt and may be gripped by the finger and/or thumb to pull the cap off the neck.

摘要： A tamper-resistant plastic cap and container neck are disclosed, the cap having a skirt with upper and lower internal beads separated by a circumferential first score line connected to a second score line extending to the lower edge of the skirt. The neck has external beads matching the skirt beads to hold the cap on the neck. By pulling upward on a tab depending from said lower edge adjacent said second score line, the lower part of the skirt may be torn away along the second and then the first score line. This leaves a reclosure cap held on the neck by the upper bead means. A thin flange projecting from the periphery of the cap is used to remove the cap in its reclosure mode. However, this flange is shaped with its underside slanting down-inward to merge with the exterior of the skirt. If one attempts to use the flange to pry off the cap in its original sealing mode, sufficient force cannot be applied. Various cap bead shapes are disclosed. The beads may be continuous or interrupted and closer together and thinner than in prior caps. The skirt and neck below and lower bead are elongated and fit tightly together throughout substantially their entire length to frictionally engage to prevent removal of the cap in sealing mode. In one form of the invention the neck may be sealed with commerically available foil; the cap is dimensioned so the foil is inserted in the cap prior to being applied to the neck.

摘要： A cap of a type having a top disk with depending outer and inner skirts between which the neck of the jar fits is disclosed. The inner surface of the outer skirt and the outside of the neck have cooperating upper and lower locking beads holding the cap in place until the lower portion of the skirt is torn off by tearing along a horizontal score line and thereby removing the lower cap locking bead. The skirt is torn by pulling a tab horizontally. The tab in one form of the invention is defined by cutouts in the lower portion of the outer skirt and is offset outwardly for easy engagement by the finger of the user. In a modification there are two tabs extending in opposite directions, either of which may be pulled to tear off the lower skirt and both tabs being joined by narrow links to a central release lug. The latter is bent upward, thereby breaking the links. The lug has an additional utility in prying off the cap from the neck of the jar after the lower skirt is torn off. An alternative means for lifting the cap off the neck is the fact that the exterior of the outer skirt slants upward-outward above the level of the horizontal score line and hence is conveniently gripped by the user. A further feature of the invention is that the lower end of the inner skirt or plug curves downward-inward, facilitating seating the cap on the neck.

Adjoining the terminus of the second scoreline is a tab which may be gripped and pulled to tear the skirt upward along the second scoreline and then circumferentially around the first scoreline to remove the lower part of the skirt and make it possible to remove the remaining portion of the cap.The improvement consists in making the bead sections in various truncated conical shapes distributed in various patterns. These shapes facilitate application of the cap to the neck without splitting the former or crushing the latter. The conical shapes may be circular or elliptical in cross-section and may be aligned or staggered.

摘要： A cap for a container neck has a skirt formed with beads on its inner surface which cooperate with matching grooves in the neck to retain the cap in place when the skirt is intact. A circumferential groove is formed in the skirt intermediate the beads joined with a second groove extending to the bottom edge of the skirt. A tab projecting beyond the skirt is gripped and pulled, causing the skirt to tear upward and then circumferentially, thereby removing the lower bead and permitting the top of the cap to be removed and re-closed. A flange is formed on the exterior of the skirt immediately above the level of the first groove. The flange prevents the skirt from tearing upward above the first groove. It also facilitates prying the cap off the neck when the lower part of the skirt has been torn off. Various flange shapes are disclosed, several of which are shaped to defeat attempts to pry off the cap before the skirt is torn. A flange which has a groove formed in its bottom surface adjacent the skirt is particularly tamper-resistant, as is a flange wherein the top and bottom surfaces converge outwardly. The cap beads may be continuous or interrupted. The cap may be provided with an inner skirt or plug to fit into the neck of the container.
