摘要： A method, system and program for performing remote automated usability testing of a software application utilizing a data processing system connected within a network. In accordance with the method, system and program of the present invention, a user is provided with an automated usability test for a particular software application, wherein the automated usability test is to be activated while the particular software application is running utilizing a data processing system connected within a network. The user is prompted to perform particular tasks, in response to activation of the automated usability test while the software application is running. Data indicating the usability of the software application is gathered through user responses to the promptings. The gathered data is automatically sent to a data collection location at a remote site within the network, such that usability test data from multiple data processing systems in multiple remote user environments is gathered at a location remote from the multiple data processing systems.

摘要： A method and system in a multimedia computer system for automatically retrieving and presenting data associated with an audio recording having unique identifying indicia therein. In response to playing an audio recording in a multimedia computer system, a unique identifying indicia associated with the audio recording is identified. A listing of codes within the multimedia computer system is automatically searched to find a code corresponding to the unique identifying indicia. In response to finding the code corresponding to the unique identifying indicia, multimedia data is retrieved which corresponds to the unique identifying indicia. The multimedia data can be retrieved from local storage or from a remote network site. The multimedia data corresponding to the unique identifying indicia is then presented in the multimedia computer system, while playing the audio recording in the multimedia computer system.

Furthermore, the contents of a logical container are dynamically updated in real-time to ensure that the filed information is current and accurate. The ability of a user to modify the containment settings and to have such modifications immediately reflected in the logical container rendered on a display device allows a user great flexibility in obtaining a desired graphical user interface.

摘要： The problem addressed by this invention is that of resolving what occurs when a user's viewpoint comes into contact with an object residing in a three-dimensional workspace as the viewer navigates through that workspace. There are several possibilities in such a situation. For example, the viewer's viewpoint may be stopped and prevented from advancing further or it may penetrate the object. The instant invention provides a climbability property for objects in 3-D virtual environments. This property, when stored in the software along with the properties which define that object, can alter the viewer's viewpoint such that it will automatically be adjusted to simulate the behavior of climbing over the object.
