    • Disclosed is a lubricant sealing structure for a gear coupling, which can firmly prevent the leaking of the lubricant due to vibration or the like in the axial and radial directions inside the gear coupling. A sealing member is a cloth-inserted rubber 21 having flexibility. The cloth-inserted rubber 21 has a first end being fixed to a fixing member 24s on a cover plate 20 mounted on a side of an outer ring 7 and a second end being fixed to another fixing member 25s on a side of the drive shaft 10 in liquid tight manner in the axial direction of a drive shaft 10. Each of the first and second ends of the cloth-inserted rubber 21 has a face extending in a direction that is perpendicular to the axial direction. The cloth-inserted rubber 21 seals the lubricant at the face of said each of the first and second ends.

    • The present invention reduces the amount of gas which leaks and flows from a high pressure side to a low pressure side of the axis and maintains good sealing performance even at high differential pressures. The invention discloses an axis sealing mechanism comprising casings which are supported inside of the stable portion, a plurality of planar plates, which are mutually spaced around the axis, each of which is fixed to the casings, positioned so that an inner end of each planar plate makes an acute angle with a peripheral surface of the axis and contacts the peripheral surface of the axis over a predetermined length in an axial direction, a high pressure side plate which is arranged at a high pressure side and a low pressure side plate which is arranged at a low pressure side so as to hold the planar plates therebetween and a flexible plate which is arranged between the planar plates and the high pressure side plate, and is flexible in an axial direction. The invention also discloses a turbine which provides the above sealing mechanism.

    • The present invention provides an aqueous solution for organ preservation or maintenance, including: a vasodilator in an amount sufficient to maintain vascular homeostasis; D-glucose in an amount sufficient to support intracellular function and maintenance of cellular bioenergetics; magnesium ions in an amount sufficient to support intracellular function and maintenance of cellular bioenergetics; macromolecules of molecular weight greater than 20,000 daltons in an amount sufficient to maintain endothelial integrity and cellular viability; potassium ions in a concentration greater than about 110 mM; and a buffer in an amount sufficient to maintain the average pH of the organ preservation or maintenance solution during the period of organ preservation at about the physiologic pH value. The invention also provides a method of preserving or maintaining an organ, including contacting the organ with the solution.
