    • A preliminary verification method under an Internet environment using a phone authentication service in a system including a first terminal, a web server, an authentication server, a host server, a call server and a second terminal, the method comprising the steps of: providing a preliminary transaction request generated from the first terminal to the authentication server through the web server; at the authentication server, transmitting the preliminary transaction request information to the host server, and providing preliminary transaction result information corresponding to the preliminary transaction request information from the host server to the first terminal; at the authentication server, in case of receiving a real transaction request generated from the first terminal, receiving and verifying the authentication information from the first terminal according to the electronic transaction approval, and requesting a phone authentication for the second terminal of the user of the authenticated first terminal to the call server; at the call server, generating an authentication call to the second terminal, receiving a one time password (OTP) number corresponding to the authentication call from the second terminal, generating an OTP number by the same number of an OTP device, and transmitting authentication completion information to the host server if the generated OTP number is the same with the received OTP number; and at the host server, performing the electronic transaction process according to the authentication completion information received from the call server.

    • A method for performing Forward Error Correction (FEC) in a Turbo-Bell Labs Layered Space-Time (BLAST) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) communication system. The FEC method includes performing soft decision on a frame received via a plurality of antennas; performing iterative decoding on the soft decision result value a predetermined number of times, and outputting Log Likelihood Ratio (LLR) values for information bits and first parity bits constituting the frame; generating second parity bits by coding information bits calculated from the LLR values, and comparing the first parity bits calculated from the LLR values with the coded second parity bits; and if the first parity bits are identical to the second parity bits, outputting the information bits, determining that there is no error, and if the first parity bits are not identical to the second parity bits, feeding back the LLR values as a-priori information of the soft decision, and returning to the performing of soft decision.

    • A method of preventing rapid on/off of a compressor in a unitary air conditioner comprises the steps of, when a unitary-capacity operation signal is inputted from a thermostat to start an outdoor unit, and a specific operation stage is continued for more than a predetermined period of time after the operation is started, changing the operation stage of the outdoor unit to an operation stage higher than the specific operation stage, and operating the outdoor unit in the changed operation stage, and, when the compressor is stopped according to a signal from the thermostat within a specific period of time after the operation stage is changed to an operation stage higher than the specific operation stage, starting the operation in the specific operation stage at the next operation, and still performing the operation in the specific operation stage although the operation state is continued for more than a predetermined period of time. Consequently, the compressor is prevented from being rapidly turned on/off, and therefore, operational reliability of the compressor is improved, and the service life of the compressor is increased.
