    • An apparatus for cooling at least one fluid includes separable cold plate and dispenser units. The cold plate unit includes a coolant system, a fluid system and a metallic unit. The coolant system defines a cold plate portion and a tower portion. The cold plate portion of the coolant system has a primary inlet manifold and a primary outlet manifold, and the tower portion has a secondary inlet manifold and a secondary outlet manifold. The coolant system further includes a first plurality of coolant line segments connecting the primary and secondary inlet manifolds and a second plurality of coolant line segments connecting the secondary and primary outlet manifolds. The fluid system also defines a cold plate portion and a tower portion, the portions being in heat exchange relationship with the coolant system. The metallic unit includes unitary cold plate and tower portions which respectively incorporate the cold plate and tower portions of the coolant system and fluid system. The dispenser unit also includes a coolant system, a fluid system and a metallic unit. The coolant system of the dispenser unit includes a dispenser inlet manifold and a dispenser outlet manifold. The coolant system of the dispenser unit further includes a plurality of coiled coolant lines. The fluid system is in heat exchange relationship with the coolant system, being disposed at least partially within the coiled coolant lines. The metallic unit of the dispenser unit incorporates the dispenser coolant system and fluid system.

    • A method of making and harvesting ice cubes includes freezing water in an ice-forming mold having a back surface, an open front face and dividers mounted on the back surface forming pockets for the formation of individual ice cubes, the water also forming ice bridges between the ice formed in the pockets, thus forming a slab of ice cubes; heating the ice-forming mold to release the ice cubes from their individual pockets; and using pressurized fluid to push the frozen slab of ice cubes out of the ice-forming mold. An ice making machine for practicing the present invention preferably includes an air compressor to supply compressed air as the pressurized fluid. The compressed air is directed preferably through a plurality of holes in the back of the ice-forming mold. Weep holes in the dividers allow this pressurized air to migrate from these holes to the areas behind each of the pockets in the ice-forming mold, thus applying a uniform pressure over a large surface area to assist the slab of ice in releasing from the ice-forming mold. The assisted harvest greatly increases the energy efficiency of the ice machine.

The door molding has a back surface adjacent to the door and a convex outer surface. An elongated side surface near the horizontal edge of the door is substantially perpendicular to the door and extends from the back surface to the convex outer surface. A beveled surface opposite to the elongated side surface extends from the back surface to the convex outer surface. Rounded sides near the vertical sides of the door extend from the back surface to the convex outer surface. A plurality of cavities in the base extend from the back surface into the base toward the convex outer surface. A method of fabricating the door molding is also disclosed.

    • A reversible handle for a door having left and right door edges includes a grip generally perpendicular to the left and right door edges and spanning between two handle coupling members. The grip is reversibly positionable in proximity to either of the left or right door edges. A handle extension is coupled to the grip by a connector plate that couples a first end of the handle extension to an adjacent one of the two handle coupling members. The connector plate is configured to couple the handle for use with either a left-hand or right-hand door. The handle extension extends away from the connector plate in a direction generally opposite the grip and couples with a door hinge on the opposite side of the door. The grip is symmetrically configured, such that the grip can be positioned for left-hand or right-hand door opening without turning the handle on the door surface.
