摘要： A method for wet oxidation of excess sludge produced by biological purification plants, which is adapted to convert the excess sludge into a substantially inorganic and inert powder. The organic fraction of the sludge is mostly oxidized to water and carbon dioxide and the remaining part is solubilized and rendered biodegradable so as to be advantageously recycled to the biological purification plant. An apparatus for carrying out the method is also described.
