    • The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a stem of a slag dart used to separate molten metal from a slag in a converter to improve productivity, and to save labor force as well as minimize defect rates of the stem by simplifying a manufacturing process of the stem. That is, the present invention relates to method of manufacturing a stem, and the method includes: preparing a molding device having a mold vertically provided on an upper surface of a frame to which a vibrator is attached; a conduit, a refractory, and a core member having a washer which has an outer diameter identical to an inner diameter of the conduit fixated to a border between a screw rod formed on a front end of the core and a core rod formed at a rear end of the core; inserting the conduit inside the mold to adhere an outer surface of the conduit to an inner surface of the mold; inserting a steel core member on a center of the conduit in the mold in a manner such that the screw rod formed on the front end of the steel core is primarily introduced while allowing the screw rod of the core to pass through a through hole formed in a frame of the mold, and a washer formed on an end of the screw rod mounted on the frame; coupling a nut to the screw rod of the core passing through the through hole of the frame to fixate the core to the center of the conduit; applying vibration to the mold while filling the refractory inside the conduit; curing the refractory in the mold when the refractory has been filled; releasing the conduit from the mold when the curing of the refractory is completed; and inserting the conduit into a high temperature drying furnace to burn the conduit while drying the conduit such that a stem having a refractory sleeve remains.
