    • An interpolation FIR filter having a multi-data rate in a mobile communication system and a filtering method using the same are provided to easily implement an interpolation FIR filter having a multi-data rate and be easily applied to a mobile communication system. A mobile terminal having an interpolation FIR filter performs initialization with a base station(S100). The mobile terminal receives data from the base station(S110). A clock controller of the interpolation FIR filter unit generates a clock control signal based on a data rate determined through the initialization with the base station(S120) and performs switching to adjust a position for outputting data. Data is filtered according to the clock control signal and then outputted(S130). If data reception is completed, interpolation is completed(S140). If data reception is not completed, it is checked whether a data rate has been changed(S150).

    • Devices and methods are provided to generate a set of synchronization channel sequences that are robust with respect to systematic errors of time offsets and provide optimal frequency offset estimation. A set of root indices of Zadoff-Chu sequences that optimize a performance metric or merit factor in a first domain (e.g time domain) and in a reciprocal domain (e.g. frequency domain) are identified. Optimal indices satisfy a centro-symmetric relationship with respect to half-value of sequence length: Whenis an optimal index, N-is also ah optimal root index, For sequences of length Q= N, a base sequence generated with an optimal sequence can be utilized to generate at least two other further optimal sequences through sign-flip, conjugation, and periodic modulation operations. Base sequences can be assigned to different sectors of a base station.
