    • A PON dualization switching system of the present invention dualizes OLT and multiple ONTs in a ratio of 2:N by connecting an active port and a standby port to optical splitters using an active line and a standby line, respectively, wherein each of the active port and the standby port comprises an optical module for receiving or providing an optical signal; a CPLD for a line determining the occurrence of an event by receiving a detection signal from the optical module; and a PON MAC chip for managing a PON protocol process. The CPLD for a line and the PON MAC chip comprises a line card which controls the light module through a first I/O channel and a second I/O channel, respectively; and CPU connected with the PON MAC chip through an IPC channel. The CPLD for a line is formed of a main CPLD connected through a third I/O channel. The CPU switches the active port into the standby port through a control signal transduction pathway thorugh the main CPLD and the CPLD for a line and a control signal transduction pathway through the PON MAC chip when an error in communication is detected.
