    • PURPOSE: A correcting method for measuring a water level of liquid nitrogen accepted in a liquid nitrogen container of a high purity germanium detector is provided to maintain the cryogenic cooling of the high purity germanium detector using weight variation. CONSTITUTION: A heat transmission unit(220) is located inside an inner container at a second site in order to absorb heat from a measuring unit. A cooling unit(200) includes an information processing unit which decodes a signal, detected by a weight detection unit, and calculates the residual amount of liquid nitrogen. A correcting method for measuring the water level of the liquid nitrogen accepted in the high purity germanium detector liquid nitrogen magazine at the series by using the weight variation comprises the next step. The maximum stage(Hm) and water level height(Hc) of magazine, and the volume ratio(V Hc/V Hm) are input. The calibration constant between the m cnet~m mnet(the net weight of the liquid nitrogen buffered in magazine) part and 0~m cnet(the coefficient of the net strain gage) are decided. The weight of the liquid nitrogen injection former magazine numbers from a plurality of strain gages and this is leveled. The coefficient of the strain gage of the net liquid nitrogen at the maximum stage is calculated by using the equalization value after the liquid nitrogen injection former equalization value and shock-absorbing. The coefficient of the net strain gage at Hc is calculated. The water level of the liquid nitrogen accepted in magazine is measured.

An over-fill preventing valve for opening/closing an outlet port(9) formed at the other end of the inlet pipe when the bombe is excessively filled with gas, is installed to be interlocked with the rotating direction of the rotating member.
