    • PURPOSE: A coolant engine and a control method thereof are provided to prevent environmental pollution due to the hot water by reducing temperature difference between seawater and coolants. CONSTITUTION: A coolant engine comprises a plurality of cylinders(10a,10b), connection pipes(12a,12b), main valves(14a,14b), a drain unit, turbines(18a,18b), and a waste heat supply unit. The plurality of cylinders is extended and contracted, and receives coolants. The connection pipes are installed in between the cylinders to move the coolants. The main valves are installed in the connection pipes, and opens/closes a flow of the coolant. The drain unit is installed in between the cylinders, and drains the coolants. The turbines are installed in the connection pipes, and rotated depending on the flow of the coolant. The waste heat supply unit independently supplies heat to the cylinders.

The gas-liquid separation unit discharges steam after moisture from the steam discharged utilized for generating the torque of the expansion turbine. The condensing turbine condenses the steam discharged from the gas-liquid separation unit, thereby collecting moisture. The gas-liquid separation unit includes a main body(152), first and second inlets(154a,154b), a moisture outlet(158), and a steam outlet(156). The condensing turbine includes a housing unit, a condenser, a compression unit, and a partition wall.
