    • PURPOSE: A novel compound isolated from Trapa and an antioxidative composition containing the same are provided to suppress tyrosinase and calpain. CONSTITUTION: A novel compound isolated from Trapa is denoted by chemical formula 1 or 2. The compound of chemical formula 1 is 1,6-di-O-galloyl-2-Ocaffeoyl-beta-D-glucopyranose. The compound of chemical formula 2 is traparin. The composition is used for preventing and treating Parkinson's disease, aging, cancer, multiple atherosclerosis, arthritis, Parkinson's disease, stroke, Alzheimer disease, vascular disease, hyperlipidemia, myocardial infarction, or cerebral infarction.

    • The present application discloses a process for the synthesis of a sucrose-6-ester comprising: (a) forming a first reaction mixture comprising sucrose, a polar aprotic solvent, and an organotin-based acylation promoter; (b) removal of water from said first reaction mixture by contacting, in a continuous counter-current manner, with gas or solvent vapour capable of removing water at a temperature, pressure and residence time sufficient to afford a second reaction mixture which is substantially free from water; followed by (c) adding a carboxylic anhydride to said second reaction mixture to afford a third reaction mixture, and maintaining said third reaction mixture at a temperature and for a period of time sufficient to produce a sucrose-6-ester. The sucrose-6-ester can be used to make sucralose.

    • 본 발명은 방사선 조사를 이용한 글루코사민의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 수산폐기물로부터 제조될 수 있는 키틴에 화학제로서 산 또는 염기 수용액을 첨가한 후 방사선을 조사하여 글루코사민을 고수율로 제조하는 방법이다. 본 발명의 방사선 조사를 이용한 글루코사민의 제조방법은 방사선 조사기술을 이용함으로써 열분해 공정의 반응시간을 크게 단축할 수 있으며, 유해 미생물을 방사선 조사에 의하여 완전 사멸시킬 수 있다. 또한, 방사선 조사 후의 열분해 공정은 글루코사민 수득률을 한층 더 크게 증가시킬 수 있기 때문에 글루코사민을 경제적으로 대량 생산하는 데 유용하게 사용될 수 있으며, 키틴 제조에 수산폐기물을 재활용함으로써 수산폐기물 처리에 소요되는 비용을 절감시키고, 이를 자원화 하여 고가의 글루코사민을 생산함으로 경제적 이익을 극대화할 수 있다.

The compounds have improved melanin formation-inhibiting activity and pigment darkening inhibiting activity, and are thus useful for whitening the skin. CONSTITUTION: An alkyl acylate derivative of glucose is selected from succinyl alkyl acylate of glucose represented by the formula(1), polyethyleneglycoryl succinyl alkyl acylate of glucose represented by the formula(2), and polyethyleneglycoryl alkyl acylate of glucose represented by the formula(3), wherein R is C3-C6 alkyl acyl; and PEG is polyethyleneglycol. The process for preparing the alkyl acylate derivatives of glucose comprises the steps of: (a) reacting glucose acylated derivatives of the formula(4) with ammonia in a solvent to prepare glucose hydroxy alkyl acylate of the formula(5); and (b) reacting the glucose hydroxy alkyl acylate of the formula(5) with anhydrous succinic acid in a solvent.

    • PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing a monomer D-glucosamine(2-amino-2-deoxy-beta-D-glucopyranose) which composes chitosan polymer. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: adding 50-400g of hydrochloric acid to 10g of chitin to decompose it; diluting the resultant compound using water then followed by removing impurities therefrom using activated carbon and distilling it under reduced pressure; purifying and recrystallizing prepared glucosamine by using ion exchange resin column or by using a mixed solution of water and organic solvent; and freeze drying it to obtain high purity glucosamine. Wherein, the concentration of hydrochloric acid is preferably 25-33%; the organic solvent is selected from ethanol, methanol, acetonitrile, acetone, tetrahydrofuran and dioxane; and the volume ratio of organic solvent to water is 10:0.5 to 10:3.
