    • Disclosed is a turning-based convergence machining device capable of convergently performing various and superprecise machining processes by preventing offset errors caused during the machining processes. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the turning-based convergence machining device comprises a bed having slide surfaces horizontally arranged at both lateral ends of the top surface; a head stock fixed at one side of the slide surfaces to fix and rotate a workpiece so that the center of gravity of the workpiece can be positioned on the same line as the slide surfaces; a tailstock formed at the other side of the slide surfaces to be movable and fixing the workpiece so that the center of weight of the workpiece can be positioned on the same line as the slide surfaces in the opposite side of the head stock; a carriage formed to be movable along the slide surfaces while surrounding the outer surface of the workpiece fixed between the head stock and the tailstock; and multiple machining modules arranged on the carriage at preset intervals and having the front end facing the center of gravity of the workpiece to perform each different machining process.

    • A lathe is provided to reduce forward-backward size of the lathe by eliminating a chip dropping space in front of a slide member, and by fixing the position of a machining unit in forward-backward direction. A lathe comprises a spindle(2) rotatably supporting a workpiece, a machining unit(4) disposed in front of the spindle, and a machine body cover(19). The lathe moves one or both of the spindle or the machining unit in forward-backward direction to perform cutting machining on the workpiece. The machining unit comprises a tool(40), a tool holder(41) supporting the tool, and a slide member(42) slidable in left and right direction, having an inclined surface which is placed lower as the inclined surface comes closer to the spindle. The tool holder is attached onto the inclined surface for supporting. The machine body cover comprises an integrated cover or a plurality of partial covers for covering the spindle and machining unit, wherein a front side of the machine body cover makes a tight contact with a front side of a bed member(1) which supports the slide member.
