摘要： A quick change tool holder (10) is provided for cutter inserts (16) on machine tools which comprises a housing (13) which is adapted to receive and conform to the shape of a cutter insert (16). A pivoting arm (12) is mounted in the insert housing (13) and rotates about a pivot (30) therein. The pivoting arm (12) has a clamp portion (22) extending from the pivot (30) to a position over a seat portion (18) which is adapted to engage a cutter insert (16). In addition, the pivoting arm (12) has an arm (32) extending from the pivot (30) opposite the clamp portion (22). Lastly, a cam (14) is engaged by a distal end (34) of the arm (32). The cam (14) has a clamp position which forces the clamp portion (22) to engage a cutter insert (16) and a release position which forces the clamp portion (22) to disengage from a cutter insert (16) to allow thereof.
