摘要： Metering is enabled through an arrangement in which a metering certificate is communicated to a mobile device using an over-the-air protocol. A metering trigger provides the metering certificate that includes a location to which metering data is posted by the mobile device and a public key of a public-private key pair, or alternatively provides a link to such metering certificate. A metering helper passes the metering certificate to a DRM system on the mobile device which collects metering data associated with a metering ID and uses the public key to encrypt the metering data into a metering challenge. The metering helper posts the metering challenge to the location. The metering service extracts the metering data from the metering challenge using a private key and generates a metering response that is received by the metering helper which prompts the DRM system to reset at least a portion of a data store in which the metering data is stored.

摘要： A method and a device for generating an RO(Rights Object) by recommitting authority are provided to enable a user to share DRM(Digital Rights Management) contents with the device not included in the same domain irrespective of permission of an RI(Rights Issuer) or a representative device by recommitting the authentication for generating the RO between the devices connected to the RI in a chain mode. A controller(210) authenticates a first device, which is included in the same domain and is the representative device of the domain, receiving first commitment information from an RI and manages a first RO received from the first device. A recommitted authority storing part(220) stores third authority commitment information based on second authority commitment information received from the first device. An RO generator(230) modifies the first RO to a second RO by using the second authority commitment information. A transceiver(260) transmits the third authority commitment information and the second RO to an unauthorized device not included in the same domain. The first device receives the third RO and the first authority commitment information from the RI through authentication with the RI, and modifies the third RO to the first RO by using the first authority commitment information. An encoding/decoding unit(240) provides the RO generator with an encoding function by which the RO generator can encodes the rights object.
