    • The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and an operation method thereof. A display method of the mobile terminal according to the present invention includes: operating a safety process using power supplied from an emergency battery if an operation voltage supplied from a battery reaches below a discharge threshold; and examining whether the operation voltage is greater than a reference value in the safety mode. Also, if the operation voltage does not reaches greater than or equal to the reference value until predetermined time, a safety processor controls power of the emergency battery to be supplied to a relevant module so that location information can be provided. According to the present invention, location information can be provided by using an emergency battery if operation power of a battery does not reaches normal until a preset time elapses since the battery was discharged.

    • PURPOSE: A portable phone accessory and a voice dialing method using the same are provided to implement a voice dialing function through the accessory so that the voice dialing function can be applied to every portable phone. CONSTITUTION: If a button for an audio mode is selected(S201), a microcomputer detects audio information inputted from an audio CODEC(S202). The microcomputer compares the detected voice information with audio reference information stored in a memory, detects command data corresponding to a keypad(S203), and transfers the detected data to a portable phone through a serial port(SIO) and a connector(S204). If dialing is made, the microcomputer checks whether the portable phone is in a call state(S205). If the portable phone is in the call state, the microcomputer maintains an idle state until the call state ends(S206). If the call finishes, the microcomputer enters an audio monitoring mode in order to detect whether an earphone/microphone button is pushed(S207).
