    • PURPOSE: An automatic document transferring device is provided to facilitate the opening of a transferring passage and to easily store an operating member. CONSTITUTION: An automatic document transferring device(12) comprises a transferring passage member(40), a holding member(44), and an operating member(46). One end of the transferring passage member is rotationally supported by a main body, and the other end(40B) thereof moves away from the main body to open a transferring passage(30). The holding member maintains the closed state of the transferring passage because the holding member is held on a target holding part by being pressed in a first rotation direction. When the main body moves to a position where the transferring passage member is exposed, the operating member is rotated by self weight or pressed force to an operation position of a second rotation direction so that the operating member can be installed in a rotary shaft with a gap.

    • PURPOSE: An automatic document transfer device and an image forming device are provided to move a transfer member up to a second opening position, thereby increasing maintainability of the automatic document transfer device. CONSTITUTION: A restriction unit(53) is formed in a support member(50) and restricts relative rotation of the second end(40B) of a transfer member(40) by connection with a restricted unit(43). One end of a pressure member(60) is mounted on the support member, and the other end of the pressure member is mounted on the second end of the transfer member. The pressure member pressurizes the restricted unit and supports the second end of the transfer member to a first opening position. When power is applied to the second end of the transfer member in a direction against a main body(12A) of the device, the second end moves to a second opening position.
