    • PURPOSE: A vector modulator using a phase shifter is provided to simplify the configuration of a system by using only the phase shifter without a variable amplitude attenuator. CONSTITUTION: First and second phase shifters(101,102) vary the phases of an I channel signal and a Q channel signal within a preset phase range. A first coupler(103) converts the I channel signal outputted from the first phase shifter into a first channel signal and a second channel signal with a phase difference of 90 degrees. A second coupler(104) converts the Q channel signal outputted from the second phase shifter into a third channel signal and a fourth channel signal with a phase difference of 90 degrees. Third and fourth phase shifters(105,106) vary the phases of the first and second channel signals within a preset phase range. Fifth and sixth phase shifters(107,108) vary the phases of the third and fourth channel signals within a preset phase range.
