    • A method for operating a rotating electrical machine and an apparatus for performing the same are provided to enable redundant regulation and independent regulation or influencing of an electrical variable of an individual set of a stator winding of the rotating electrical machine, by providing a converter unit for each set of the stator winding. In a method for operating a rotating electrical machine(1), the electrical machine has at least two sets of stator windings(A,B). Each set of the stator winding includes n phase windings, and one related converter unit(3) is provided as to each set of the stator winding. Each set of the stator winding is fed by the related converter unit. Currents of at least n-1 phase windings of each set of the stator winding are measured. One related control device is provided as to each converter unit, and each converter unit is driven by a driving signal(S) of the related control device independently from the control device of another converter unit. The driving signal is formed in each control device from the measured currents of each set of the stator winding.

    • PURPOSE: A control device of a permanent magnet generator is provided to steadily maintain an output voltage without a magnetic flux control device by using a drooping property of a voltage control coil. CONSTITUTION: A rotor shaft is rotatably supported to a housing. The rotor is fixed to the rotor shaft. A plurality of permanent magnet members is mounted in an outer circumference of the rotor. A coil is wound in a stator. The coil of the stator comprises an output coil(10) and a control coil(11). The control coil is serially connected to the output coil. The number of turns of the control coil is larger than the number of turns of the output coil. The output terminal is arranged between the output coil and the control coil. A part of a current generated in the output coil is flowed in the control coil through a control switch(12) and an output switch(13). A controller(18) controls a current amount flowing to the control coil by controlling the output switch and the control switch.

When an abnormality occurs in the three-phase inverter(52) or the servo controller(54), the occurrence of the abnormality is signaled to the servo controller(55). When abnormality occurs in the three-phase inverter(53) or the servo controller(55), the occurrence of the abnormality is signaled to the servo controller(54), thereby stopping rotation of the motor.
