    • A mixed mode cavity filter is disclosed. The disclosed cavity filter comprises at least one first cavity housing a metallic coaxial resonator; and at least one second cavity housing a dielectric resonator, wherein a first coupling window is formed in a barrier rib which is formed between the first cavity and the second cavity. The first coupling window comprises a horizontal window which is formed parallel to a bottom part and a vertical window which is formed perpendicular to the bottom part, and the vertical window and the horizontal window are overlapped in at least some areas. The disclosed filter can reduce in size and weight with a low loss.
