    • The present invention relates to a hair dryer that can save electricity by stopping the operation of the hair dryer when the hair dryer in use is put on a floor and can maintain a more comfortable environment by inhibiting the generation of noise. The hair dryer according to the present invention comprises: an air blowing fan (2) for sucking outer air via the operation of a motor inside a body (1), wherein introduced air is heated while passing a heater (4) and is discharged to the outside through a discharge hole (5); and a power switch (3) for controlling power supplied to a motor for rotating the air blowing fan (2) and the heater on a handle. A suction hole mesh (10) is installed at both sides of the air blowing fan (2) to be able to move, and a power-saving switch (6) is installed in the movement gap of the suction hole mesh (10) to supply and block power to the motor for rotating the heater (4) and the air blowing fan (2). When the hair dryer is put on a floor temporarily or inserted in the side of a user to do another work during hair care, the suction hole mesh contacts with the floor or a part of the body of the user and is pressed to operate the power-saving switch and block power to the heater and the air blowing fan, thus preventing the wasting of electricity and, more particularly, stopping the operating of the air blowing fan, which generates much noise, creating a more pleasant and comfortable environment.

The indicator has a detector connected with the core. The detector informs the operation state of the RF switch by sensing current if the core is contacted with the seesaw. The seesaw contacts with the core by electromagnetic force generated in applying power to the solenoid.
