    • An image forming apparatus is provided to form images with high quality using a various kinds of printing media by employing a means for making electrical characteristics of the printing media uniform. An image forming apparatus includes a paper-feeding unit, an image forming and transferring unit, and an antistatic unit(30). The paper-feeding unit provides a printing medium. The image forming and transferring unit forms an image and transfers the image to the printing medium provided by the paper-feeding unit. The antistatic unit is located between the paper-feeding unit and the image forming and transferring unit and makes the resistance of the printing medium uniform. The antistatic unit includes a storage member(31) for storing an antistatic agent, and a supply unit for supplying the antistatic agent to the printing medium. The supply unit(32) includes a nozzle(33) for jetting the antistatic agent stored in the storage member, and a coating member(34) for coating the antistatic agent jetted from the nozzle on the printing medium.

CONSTITUTION: An image forming device includes an image bearing member, an image forming unit(PY), an intermediate transfer belt(6), a transfer belt(15), an absorbing belt, a transferring unit(T2), and an electrode member. The image forming unit is for forming a toner image on the image bearing member. The intermediate belt is for dipping a toner image transferred from the image bearing member. The transfer belt is for dipping and sending back a recording member. The absorbing is for electrically absorbing a recording member to the transfer belt. The transferring unit is for transferring a toner image on a recording material absorbed to the transferring belt form the intermediated transferring belt. The electrode member is connected inside the transferring belt.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for developing duplex electrophotographs and a toner image concentration controlling method therefor are provided to enable a concentration controller to control concentration of a toner image according to a measured resistance value when a printing media tray is converted into a closed state from an open state, thereby exactly controlling the concentration of the toner image. CONSTITUTION: A printing media tray(111) classifies printing media by kind, and accumulates the classified printing media. A tray open/shut sensor(125) senses whether the printing media tray(111) is open/shut. A transfer roller(119) transfers a toner image to the printing media. A resistance measurer measures resistance values of the printing media passing through the transfer roller(119). A concentration controller controls concentration of the toner image transferred to the printing media according to the measured resistance values. If the printing media tray(111) is converted into a closed state from an open state, the concentration controller controls the concentration of the toner image according to the resistance values measured by the resistance measurer.

    • An image forming apparatus and a transfer method thereof are provided to apply power to one of an adsorption part and a transfer part so as to reduce loads of a circuit part and a control part, thereby maximizing performance of the system. An image forming apparatus comprises a transfer part(40), an adsorption part(10), transfer parts(20), a power supply part(30), and a control part(50). The adsorption part adsorbs a recording medium at a transfer belt. The transfer parts have photosensitive members and transfer rollers and transfer a developer on a recording medium. The control part controls power to be supplied to one of a transfer power and an absorption power when the recording medium passes through the transfer part and the adsorption part. The control part includes a voltage/current sensing part(50a) and a transfer voltage/current determining part(50b).
