    • PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus with a charging device of corona type are provided to reduce by-product of the electric discharge on neighbor surface of a photosensitive drum due to friction of a cleaning unit by rotating the photosensitive drum before closing a shutter of the charger. CONSTITUTION: A corona charger(2) comprises an opposite opening unit to the surface of a photosensitive member(1). A shutter(10) opens and closes the opening unit about the photoreceptive member. A sliding member slides with the photoreceptive member in contact. A measuring member measures the elapsed time from the termination of the photograph forming. A control unit(51) controls a photograph forming device in order for the photosensitive member to rotate by the contact with the sliding member in close of the shutter based on output of the measuring unit.

    • An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent a signal input unit and a signal output unit from contacting with each other or wirelessly transmit image data while an imaging drum is being rotated to thus prevent abrasion of the units or deformation caused by frictional heat. When printing is requested, a main controller(180) controls the drum driving unit to maintain the imaging drum in a stop state and store the image data received by the data receiving unit in the memory.

    • An image forming apparatus is provided to position a maximum eccentric line of driving gears and an engagement line of a driving motor on the same line, and dispose the driving gears differently at each different rotation angle in the direction opposite to a rotational direction of the driving gear, thereby preventing color mismatch by making angular velocities of respective driving gears equal. Driving gears(11a'~11d') are directly engaged with motors(20). A maximum eccentric line of each driving gear and an engagement point between the driving gears and the motors are disposed to be sequentially positioned on the same line according to the speed of a processor. The maximum eccentric line is indicated on the driving gears, and a rotation angle is indicated on the bracket. Four driving gears are provided, and the motors are installed between two driving gears or individually installed at each driving gear.

    • An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member, a transfer mechanism, a fixing mechanism, a sheet ejection mechanism, and a driving source. The transfer mechanism including a transfer roller transfers a toner image carried on a photosensitive member onto a recording sheet. The fixing mechanism fixes the toner image onto the recording sheet with heat and pressure. The driving source drives the photosensitive member, the transfer roller, the fixing roller, and the sheet ejection rollers to transfer the recording sheet at a linear speed in a substantially constant manner from the photosensitive member through to the sheet ejection mechanism.
