    • PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus is provided to realize the balance of non-uniform electric charge suppression. CONSTITUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a phase maintaining body which has a photosensitive layer, a charging member which comes in contact with the phase maintaining body to charge the photosensitive layer, and a feeding unit which applies a vibration voltage obtained through the overlapping between AC and DC components to the charging member. The AC component includes the first amplitude for remove the minute non-uniform electric charges in case of applying a voltage of uniform amplitude, and the second amplitude smaller than the first amplitude.

    • PURPOSE: A high voltage power supply for an image forming apparatus is provided to reduce the size of the high voltage power supply and simplify the circuit size by reducing the number of circuit parts. CONSTITUTION: A power source converting unit(11) converts power applied by a high voltage power supply for an image forming apparatus, and generates AC power. Rectifiers(14,15) are connected to the power source converting unit, rectifies the converted AC power, and outputs DB power. A switch unit(12) connects a rectifier to the power source converting unit by the control signal. The control signal shows an internal device which receives the DC power among the internal devices of the image forming apparatus. A switching controller transmits the control signal to the switch unit.
