    • In an optical logic circuit operable by a light reflection control and an arithmetic apparatus using the optical logic circuit according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a logic operation can be performed while changing an optical path by determining whether to reflect or pass light by a refractive index control with respect to light. Also, in the optical logic circuit operable by the light reflection control and the arithmetic apparatus using the optical logic circuit according to the present invention, a high operation speed can be achieved because a logic operation in the optical logic circuit is performed by an optical signal. The optical logic circuit operable by the light reflection control according to the present invention comprises: a first waveguide which is formed to have a straight-line shape in at least a partial section; a second waveguide which is branched to form a predetermined angle with the first waveguide; and a first reflector, a refractive index of which is changed according to a first input signal so that an optical path is selected by one of the first waveguide and the second waveguide, wherein a signal value of a first output terminal through the first waveguide and a signal value of a second output terminal through the second waveguide are adjusted by using the first input signal.

    • PURPOSE: An SPP(Surface Plasmon Polariton) signal switch device is provided to be applied to SPP of various modes according to a kind of a light waveguide. CONSTITUTION: A first metal waveguide has an IMI(Insulator-Metal-Insulator) structure. The IMI structure is composed of a metal layer(111) and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is arranged on one side of the metal layer. Another dielectric layer is arranged on the rear side of the metal layer. A second metal waveguide has an IMI structure. The IMI structure is composed of a first metal layer(131) and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is arranged on one side of the metal layer. Another dielectric layer is arranged on the rear side of the metal layer. A first side of a polarizing plate(120) is contacted with the first metal waveguide and a second side thereof is contacted with the second metal waveguide. The polarizing plate controls an SPP signal from the first metal waveguide to the second metal waveguide.
