    • PURPOSE: A technique, for producing a molten iron by arc heating a pre-reducing iron in a melting furnace, capable of withstanding erosion to furnace wall refractory in a melting furnace to improve the working life and capable of producing a molten iron with a homogenized composition while keeping high productivity is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a stationary non-tilting arc heating type melting furnace for melting a pre-reducing iron(13) by arc heating mainly composed of radiation heat, the stationary non-tilting arc heating type melting furnace is characterized in that the melting furnace has a pre-reducing iron feeding mechanism(9), electrodes for an arc heating(5) and a molten iron discharging mechanism(3), wherein the melting is performed while keeping a refractory wearing index RF represented by the following equation at 400 MWV/m¬2 or less: RF=PxE/L¬2, wherein RF represents the refractory wearing index (MWV/m¬2); P represents the arc power for one phase (MW); E is the arc voltage (V); and L represents the shortest distance (m) between the electrode side surface of the tip of within the arc heating furnace and the furnace wall inner surface, L=ID/2-PCD/2-DE/2, wherein ID represents the inside diameter (m) of the melting furnace; PCD represents the electrode pitch circle diameter (m); and DE represents the electrode diameter (m).

    • A dephosphorization method using Kanvara reactor is provided to reduce a burden for removing phosphorous in a converter process, extend life of the furnace body, and improve quality of steel to be manufactured after finishing the converter process by eliminating phosphorous in hot metal using the Kanvara reactor in advance. A dephosphorization method using Kanvara reactor(KR) comprises: an injection quantity calculating step of receiving information on silicon and phosphorous in hot metal contained in a ladle to calculate an injection quantity of a desiliconizer comprising calcium oxide and calculate an injection quantity of a dephosphorizer comprising calcium oxide; a desiliconizing step of transporting the ladle to the Kanvara reactor, injecting the desiliconizer into the ladle as much as the calculated injection quantity, and agitating the desiliconizer; a discharging step of discharging the desiliconized slag to the outside of the ladle; and a dephosphorizing step of injecting the dephosphorizer into the ladle as much as the calculated injection quantity and agitating the dephosphorizer. The discharging step further comprises the step of skimming slag that has been floated to a surface of hot metal and produced by desiliconization from an upper part of the ladle to discharge the slag to the outside of the ladle.

    • The present invention is to provide a main runner in a blast furnace. The main runner comprises: a runner through which molten material discharged from a tap hole flows out; and a slag gate from which slag is discharged, wherein the slag gate has a space at the bottom thereof so that molten iron except for the slag flows and stays in the space, and the stay time of the molten material in the runner increased. According to the present invention, the stay time of the molten material in the main runner is increased so that the molten iron is definitely separated from the slag; and the molten iron mixed with the slag is separated again from the slag so that the molten iron is prevented from being mixed into the slag.
