    • PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a contact tip for a welding torch is provided to reduce wire supply fail, which is caused by crack or protrusions on the inner wall of a supply passage, by employing a forging process instead of the conventional drawing process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a contact tip for a welding torch by a forging process is as follows. A first forging pin is located in a first molding hole of a mold. A material, which is opened on both ends for insertion of the first forging pin, is inserted in the large diameter part of the first forging hole. The material is hit toward the small diameter part to mold a semi product by forging(S310). A second forging pin is located in a second molding hole of a mold. The semi-product is turned upside down so that the threaded part of the semi-product is located outside of the mold and inserted to the large diameter part of the second molding hole. The threaded part of the semi-product is hit to form the head, body, and threaded part of a contact tip by forging(S320).

CONSTITUTION: A gas cutting tip for preventing a backfire(1) comprises an oxygen nozzle(300) and a gas nozzle(400). A front end(330) of the oxygen nozzle is outwardly protruded longer than a second front end(430) of the gas nozzle. The oxygen nozzle is a hemispheric shape. The hemispheric recessed groove is formed inside the second end of the gas nozzle. Gas is smoothly discharged through the recessed groove.
