    • The present invention relates to a freeze protection valve comprising a fluid flow pipe having an inlet on one side; a valve housing which is connected to the fluid flow pipe by the inlet and has an outlet discharging the fluid flowing inside; an elastic member which is included in a valve housing and changes elasticity due to temperature change of the fluid; and an opening and closing member opening or closing the outlet with the elastic member by being installed between the elastic member and the outlet. The freeze protection valve can prevent the fluid flow pipe from being frozen due to frozenness of the fluid by enabling the fluid of the fluid flow pipe to continuously flow.

    • PURPOSE: A thermostat for a vehicle is provided to open and close a cooling water passage without members added to a rod or a rubber valve member because a cylinder is reciprocated by a driving unit to open and close a hollow hole of a valve housing. CONSTITUTION: A thermostat for a vehicle comprises a first valve housing (10), a second valve housing (20), an opening and closing valve (40), a driving unit, and a guide unit (60). One side of the first valve housing is connected to a cooling water passage (I) to communicate the cooling water of the cooling water passage through a hollow hole (11). One end of the second valve housing is coupled to the other side of the first valve housing, and the other end thereof is coupled to another cooling water passage to communicate the cooling water through a hollow hole (21). The opening and closing valve opens and closes the hollow hole of the second valve housing while a cylinder (42) is reciprocated by telescopic motion. The driving unit provides driving force to the opening and closing unit so that the cylinder of the opening and closing valve can be telescoped. The guide unit movably supports the cylinder of the opening and closing valve.
