    • PURPOSE: A converter control device is provided to regularly keep a traction modulus under a limit which can lose a traction force in a border area between a roller and a disk, which is used in a continuously-variable-ratio transmission. CONSTITUTION: The converter includes a pair of input rotor disks(78, 79), an output rotor disk(4) and plural rollers(12). The control device(7) has a shaft(10) of a main roller installed inside the cavity(14) of a hollow shaft(14) of a double working piston(18) which has a facing piston head(20, 21). Herein, the piston head slides inside a cylinder type cap(23, 24) of a moving shaft under an oil pressure load and freely revolves, centralizing the shaft line of he shaft(16). The entrance (26, 27) and exit(29, 30) of an oil pressure fluid are formed on plural similar supplying spouts(25, 25a) supplied to the side wall and end of the cap and the end cap of the subordinated cylinder.

    • PURPOSE: A micro valve apparatus using a micro bead and a control method thereof are provided to open and close a channel formed in the thin film such as compact disc or digital versatile disc by moving the micro bead according to the magnetic field or magnetic force formed by mounting electromagnets or electrodes in upper and lower parts of the thin film. CONSTITUTION: A micro valve apparatus is composed of a channel flowing fluid; a fluid hole connecting the passage; a body(100) forming the passage and the fluid hole; electromagnets(4a,4b) installed in upper and lower parts of the body and faced to each other to generate magnetic force in applying power; and a micro bead(70) regulating the flow of fluid by opening and closing the fluid hole with moving up and down in turning on and off electromagnets. The body includes an upper substrate(1), an intermediate substrate(2) and a lower substrate(3), and forms the channel flowing fluid in the surface of the substrate, chambers storing buffer solution and the fluid hole. The micro bead is contacted to the upper substrate by a constraining groove(101) in connecting the channel. The channel is opened and shut off by opening and closing the fluid hole with the micro bead.
