    • PURPOSE: A horizontal sliding window is provided to improve air and water tightness and resistance to wind pressure by horizontally sliding a window to a window frame. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal sliding window comprises a linear rail, a movable window, a roller housing(50), a lower runner, a guide plate(70), a guide hole, a guide pin(69), a roller housing guide(80), and roller housing mounts(55). The linear rail is installed on the inner bottom of a window frame. The movable window is reciprocated along the linear rail and has a window glass. And the movable window is moved in a direction vertical to the window glass. The roller housing has a roller moving along the linear rail. The lower runner is moved in a direction away from the roller housing. The guide plate is fixed to the roller housing. The guide hole is formed on the guide plate. The guide pin is inserted into the guide hole and is moved. The roller housing guide guides the movement of the roller housing. The roller housing mounts are formed in both ends of the roller housing and have through holes in which the roller housing guide is inserted.

    • PURPOSE: An electric drop bolt with slidable drive mechanism having a user selectable power-to-open or power-to-lock conversion function is provided to enhance a concealed lock function for a door or a movable barrier by improving a structure of the electric drop bolt. CONSTITUTION: A drop bolt includes a housing(1) which is mounted into a frame for a door or other movable barrier in use. The housing has a bolt(2) which is pivotal therein by a mechanical driver when set in a cage(9) at an operative position. The bolt is pivotal between a locking configuration where the bolt extends outward of the housing for engagement in an aperture associated with the door or other movable barrier and an unlocked configuration where the bolt is withdrawn clear of the aperture. The mechanical driver includes a screw shaft(5) rotatable by the electric motor(4) to move a roller nut(7) along the length thereof while engaging a cam surface on the bolt and to obtain fail safe operation of the drop bolt. The cage is slidable in the housing from the operative position to a disengaged position whereby the bolt is movable from the locking configuration to the unlocked configuration without operation of the mechanical driver.
