The invention further relates to the production and use of the microspheres.

    • PURPOSE: Fabric for intercepting radioactive rays is characterized by containing radioactive rays intercepting material on a surface, being light and having excellent safety and a wearing effect. The fabric is useful for clothes, an apron and a hat. And a manufacturing method thereof is provided. CONSTITUTION: Fabric for intercepting radioactive rays is characterized by containing a coat layer comprised of a polyurethane resin on a surface and dispersing uniformly powdery barium sulfate and organic iodine type radiation contrast compound in the coat layer. The fabric for intercepting radioactive rays is obtained by the steps of: (a) coating the surface of the fabric with an adhesive layer forming composition comprised of 100pts.wt. of a two-pack polyurethane resin, 20-50pts.wt. of methyl ethyl ketone, 5-40pts.wt. of toluene, 1-10pts.wt. of a crosslinking agent and 1-20pts.wt. of an acrylic resin, followed by drying the fabric; and then (b) coating the adhesive layer with a radiation intercept layer forming composition comprised of 100pts.wt. of a one-pack polyurethane resin, 100-500pts.wt. of the barium sulfate, 0.5-50pts.wt. of the organic iodine type radiation contrast compound, 20-50pts.wt. of the methyl ethyl ketone and 5-40pts.wt. of the toluene, followed by drying the fabric.
