摘要： The yarn distributor, comprising a shoe (2) able to slide in a striping bar track (6), a feeder (3) with a downward-pointing tip (3a) that guides a yarn towards the needles of a knitting machine, has the feeder connected to the shoe by a moving link so its tip can be positioned just above the knitting heads in a first knitting configuration and moved away from the knitting zone in a second, non-knitting configuration. The movement between the two configurations of the yarn feeder is controlled by a drive with links (7), a motor and an actuator (13), causing the feeder to turn about a pivot (16) on the shoe. In variants of the design the pivot can move in a vertical or curved slot (15) in the shoe.

An interlocking element(13) of an upper yarn feeder(5fua), when a lower yarn feeder(5fd) is stopped, guides an up-and-down portion(6fdv) of a knitting yarn while in a left direction while knitting a knitted fabric. Even though the up-and-down portion of the knitting yarn is disposed at a position, where the up-and-down portion is interfered, by movement of the upper yarn feeder, a horizontal portion(6fdh) of the knitting yarn between a hook member(14) and a yarn guide(10fd) is interfered with the upper yarn feeder if the up-and-down portion of the knitting yarn is coupled to a hook member. When the lower yarn feeder is switched from a stop state to a use state, the lower yarn feeder is used in a feeding state of the knitting yarn from above since the interlocking element and the lower yarn feeder are moved to the hook feeder to cancel the coupling of the knitting yarn.
