    • PURPOSE: A method for fabricating carbon fiber precursors is provided to prevent adhesion between staples and to improve workability. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating carbon fiber precursors comprises: a step of dissolving acrylonitrile polymers in organic solvent to prepare a polymer solution; a step of spinning the polymer solution by wet or dry-wet spinning to prepare precursor fibers; and a step of extending the precursor fibers. The remaining amount of the solvent in the precursor is 0.1-2.0 wt%. The step of extending comprises: a step of extending the precursor fibers in warm water over 60 Deg.C; a step of adding silicon-based emulsion, modified epoxy emulsion, or ammonium compound-containing emulsion; a step of drying the precursor fibers using a heating roller over 150 Deg. C; and a step of drawing the precursor fibers under pressed stem at high temperature.
