    • PURPOSE: A method for preparing beta-alumina powder and sintered beta-alumina is provided to obtain high purity beta-alumina powder through a calcining process. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing beta-alumina powder comprises: a step of dissolving powdery aluminum acetate, sodium acetate, and magnesium(or lithium) acetate in water and preparing a primary slurry; a step of spraying and drying the primary slurry and preparing mixing powder; a step of calcining the mixing powder and preparing beta-alumina powder. A method for preparing sintered beta-alumina comprises: a step of dissolving the beta-alumina powder in water and preparing a secondary slurry; a step of spraying and drying the secondary slurry and preparing mold powder; a step of molding the molding powder and forming a mold; and a step of sintering and annealing the mold.
