    • PURPOSE: A metal-carbon complex having a nanostructure and a preparation method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency and the potential of hydrogen storage, thereby helping to save the natural energy resources and solve the environmental problem, without additional changes on a conventional device. Further, depending on the metal used thereto, the complex can be used to various catalyst reactions and as electric materials. CONSTITUTION: The metal-carbon complex having a nanostructure is prepared by: preparing a nanosized mold, wherein the nanosized mold is silica oxides, alumina oxides or mixtures thereof; firing the mold; impregnating the mold with a metal by using a metal precursor; adding thereto a carbon precursor and mixing it homogeneously; reacting the mixture; carbonizing the reacted mixture; and removing the nanosized mold from the carbonized mixture.
