    • An optical information recording medium, an optical information reproducing apparatus, and an optical information recording apparatus are provided to separate transparent protective layers from planes, to preclude the transparent protective layers from being scratched, and to reduce the load applied to rotary spindles by placing projections to light-incidence surfaces and around the spindle holes. In an optical information recording medium, information is recorded or reproduced by projecting the beam to signal recording layers(103) through transparent protective layers(102). The optical information recording medium includes signal areas corresponding to the signal recording layers and keeping areas between center holes. Projections(100) are projected on the light-incidence surfaces of the transparent protective layers between the center hole and the keeping area. The numerical aperture of an optical head for recording or reproducing information to the signal recording layers ranges from 0.7 to 0.9. The wavelength of the beam for recording and reproducing is below 410nm.
