    • A preparing method of a functional zeolite with excellent removal efficiency of heavy metals is provided, and a functional zeolite that is capable of exhibiting a high removal efficiency of heavy metals prepared by the method is provided, and a method for removing heavy metals from a heavy metal-containing medium using the functional zeolite for removing the heavy metals is provided. A preparing method of a zeolite for removing heavy metals comprises the steps of: (i) diluting a lipophilic binding agent with an organic solvent; (ii) adding an aqueous chelate agent solution and an emulsifier to the lipophilic binding agent solution to mix the aqueous chelate agent solution and the emulsifier with the lipophilic binding agent solution; and (iii) adding a zeolite to the mixture and agitating the mixture and the zeolite to coat the zeolite with the chelate agent. The preparing method further comprises the step of filtering and drying the chelate agent-coated zeolite. The lipophilic binding agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of polyurethane, epoxy, and silicone. The organic solvent is a thinner. The chelate agent is at least one selected from the group consisting of iminodiacetic acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, and fulvic acid. The preparing method comprises mixing the lipophilic binding agent solution, the aqueous chelate agent solution, and the emulsifier at a volume ratio of 5:94.9:0.1 to 10:89.9:0.1.

    • PURPOSE: Provided are the porous moisture absorbent with moisture absorbency indicating function and the method of preparing it. The indicator is not harmful to man and environment friendly and is a substitute for the conventional cobalt chloride moisture absorbent indicator. The indicator exhibits the indicator function in the relative moisture of 10% to 50% and in the acidic condition, showing distinct change of color due to absorption and indicator stability with the small amount use. The change point of the color is controlled according to the various properties and shapes of the used moisture absorbent. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method comprises: making the acidic aqueous solution of not more than pH 4 by adding acid to 0.005-0.5 wt.% of the organic dye indicator selected from neutral red, phenol red and bromothymol blue; dipping or coating a porous moisture absorbent selected from silica gel, aluminosilicate bead, zeolite, caustic lime and calcium chloride into the above acidic aqueous solution; and drying to make the final moisture absorbent. The above acid is selected from the group consisting of sulfuric, hydrochloric, benzoic, chloric, formic, chloroacetic, nitric, nitrous, phosphoric, tartaric, succinic, citric, malic, fumaric, glycolic, maleic, methylsulfonic, benzenesulfonic, salicylic acids or their mixtures.

CONSTITUTION: A producing method of spherical active carbon comprises the following steps: preparing a first sol by mixing isopropanol with titanium tetraisopropoxide or titanium n-butoxide in a mixture ratio of 40~80:1(S102); doping copper chloride to the isopropanol for forming a second sol, and stirring the first sol and the second sol before activating to make a copper chloride doped titanium dioxide activation sol mixture(S104,S106); adding coconut shell powder and distilled water to the sol mixture, and hydrolyzing precipitates to form the coconut shell powder synthesized with copper and a titanium dioxide photo catalyst(S108,S110); condensing the coconut shell powder for removing air, a solvent, and the distilled water(S112); and mixing the coconut shell powder with glue and drying for 4~10hours after molding into a spherical shape(S114,S116,S118).
