    • PURPOSE: A reverse osmosis membrane and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to comprise a water purifying function which is higher than or equal to the water purifying function of a conventional reverse osmosis membrane. CONSTITUTION: A reverse osmosis membrane comprises a porous support, a polyamide active layer, and a coating layer. The polyamide active layer is formed on the porous support. The coating layer is chemically combined with the polyamide active layer. The coating layer comprises copolymer containing an amphoteric ionic compound and glycidyl (meth)acrylate. The amphoteric ionic compound is a compound represented by chemical formula 1 or 2. A method for manufacturing a reverse osmosis membrane comprises a step of forming a coating layer by treating a porous support, on which a polyamide active layer is formed, with an aqueous solution containing copolymer based on an amphoteric ionic compound and glycidyl (meth)acrylate.
