    • PURPOSE: A fluid treatment assembly is provided to conveniently stand all forces generated by pressurized fluid in the assembly without an additional outer support. CONSTITUTION: A fluid treatment assembly(20) comprises at least one fluid treatment unit(13); a feeing path; a penetration path(23); first and second end pieces(11, 12); and a retainer(26). The fluid treatment unit comprises a transparent fluid treatment medium(15) having a feeing side and a penetrating side(17). Each of the fluid treatment units is disposed between the first end piece and the second end piece, at least one of the first and second end pieces is formed of a non-metal material, and the first and second end pieces have at least about 8×10^5 psi of a flexural modulous. The retainer extends between the first and second end pieces, and the retainers are arranged such that at least one of the fluid treatment unit and the first and second end pieces press each other.
