    • A syringe barrel and a cylinder holder are provided to prevent a syringe barrel from being broken in injection of liquid of high viscosity with a high pressure and to obtain an improved syringe barrel that is hardly broken. The syringe barrel(31) is mounted on a cylinder holder(13) having a flange insertion recess(14). The syringe barrel(31) includes a flange(32) and a guide. The flange(32) is maintained by the flange insertion recess(14) to fix the syringe barrel(31). The guide is engaged with the cylinder holder(13) to decide the mounting direction of the syringe barrel(31). The guide is a protrusion having a thickness that is not fitted into the flange insertion recess(14). When the syringe barrel is mounted on the cylinder holder, the engagement of a part of the cylinder holder and the protrusion prevents rotation of the cylinder.
